Overview

Summate.it is an on-demand web article summarization tool that uses OpenAI, a natural language processing technology developed by OpenAI, to quickly generate summaries from web articles.

The summaries are based on the full text of the article, which is extracted using Full-Text RSS, a free software for article extraction. The OpenAI API prevents submission of large texts, so summarization may only be based on a portion of the article.

Summate.it is a free service, and developers are welcome to use the same APIs. There is an email list to receive updates on the service, and users can experiment with the summarization tool.
